Birthdays and Favourtism

Have the question "why should one get gifts or share the cost of the gift with your partner's/friend's friends when most probably they'll just think that you're just they're secondary friend so why get you a gift when it's your birthday?" or that "if someone in the family, be it your relatives or their kids, can ask for certain gifts on their birthday, then why can't you do the same?" ever occurred to you?

Every year, at around this time, i feel forgotten. Or maybe everyone disappears on purpose. From time since immemorial, i had been a subject of ridicule and the least or non-favoured one amongst so many of cousins and friends. Sometimes i really feel like disappearing but then there will always someone..just one person..who will make me decide against it. This year isn't any different. I've learnt to expect less or maybe even not expect anything at all for this matter.

My only wish is for my heart to be at peace....
